Greek Burgers
Ingredients:
•1 lb. Extra lean ground beef
•2 Tbsp. finely chopped red onion
•1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
•1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
•1/2 tsp. salt
•1/8 tsp. white pepper
•2 garlic cloves, minced
•1 cup plain yogurt
•1 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill weed
•1 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint leaves
•salt and pepper to taste
•tomato slices
•thin cucumber slices
• whole wheat pita bread
Preparation:
Prepare and heat grill. In large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, oregano, feta, salt, pepper, and garlic and mix gently. Shape into 4 patties and refrigerate while preparing sauce. Pico de Gallo Salsa
Dice first five ingredients; toss with lime juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
In small bowl, combine yogurt, dill, mint, and salt and pepper to taste and mix. Refrigerate while cooking burgers.
Cook patties 4-6″ from medium coals for 13-15 minutes until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center, turning once. Serve in pita breads with tomato and cucumber slices and yogurt sauce. 4 sandwiches
