These are some of my pics from the USA Judo Coaches  Development Clinic conducted at Matt Hughes’ Hitsquad in Granite City, Il. back in Nov. of 2009.It was a loaded with lots of great stuff, and was facilitated by my long time coach Sinsei George Stanich. In attendance were several national and international level Judokas including 2 former olympians.

It was an intesive 2 days of drills and conditioning developed  by USA Judo in order to promote and educate coaches from the grass roots level.

It was a great refresher on a lot of old stuff, but as most all of George’s practices do, introduced alot of new training methods as well. Like the Uchi matt drill below. That’s me in the white fitting in on a drill for uchi matta with my boy Hakim from Algeria. Hakim is a former Olympian and US Open champion. What a great  uki!
